About the role
At a time when security of supply, preparedness, and defense cooperation are becoming increasingly important across the Nordic region, Nammo is playing a central role in strengthening the region’s defense capabilities. Through the Strategic Partnership Agreement (SPA), Nammo and the Nordic nations are establishing a new model for long-term cooperation to ensure security of supply and strengthen operational readiness in peace, crisis, and conflict.
To support the continued development of this strategic initiative, we are looking for a Program Manager SPA Nordics to help drive both its strategic direction and operational execution. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-priority initiative in its early stages and contribute to building a new framework for Nordic defense cooperation. Working at the intersection of industry, government, and defense, you will play a key role in translating strategic ambitions into structure, priorities, and results.
Reporting to the Program Director SPA Nordics, you will serve as a key advisor and coordinator across the partnership. The role involves close collaboration with senior leaders, business units, and external stakeholders across the Nordic countries, ensuring alignment, progress, and informed decision-making. You will act as deputy to the Program Director in selected forums, when required, and play a central role in a high-impact international environment.
Key responsibilities and tasks
- Provide strategic analyses and decision support to program and executive leadership
- Act as a trusted adviser to the Program Director on strategic direction and prioritization
- Develop and maintain governance, reporting, and program management structures
- Monitor program progress, risks, and performance, while developing governance structures and oversight mechanisms to support effective portfolio management.
- Represent the program in selected internal and external forums

Krav
- Higher education in a relevant field such as political science, business, finance, technology, or a related discipline.
- Experience from project, program, or portfolio management in complex environments.
- Experience from international or multinational cooperation.
- Experience working at the intersection of strategy and execution, including supporting senior leaders in turning strategic priorities into action.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Norwegian and English.
- Must be eligible for security clearance at NATO SECRET level.
