Postdoctoral Research Fellow in Molecular Microbiology/Bacterial Infection Biology/Chemical Biology

A Postdoctoral Research Fellow position is available at the Department of Medical Biology, Faculty of Health Sciences, with the research group for Host-Microbe Interactions at UiT The Arctic University of Norway.

The position is a fixed-term, full-time (100%) role for a duration of 3 years. The successful candidate will work on an emerging project area headed by Prof. Christian Lentz, focusing on how bacterial pathogens functionally adapt to their host and antibiotics.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the research project, design and execute experiments.
• Supervise students and contribute to teaching activities (up to 10%).
• Develop research ideas and strategies within the project framework.
• Collaborate with local, national, and international partners.

The workplace is at UiT in Tromsø. The candidate will have access to state-of-the-art core facilities including bioimaging, FACS, proteomics/metabolomics, genomics, and animal experimentation.
