Senior Engineer Piping

We are now strengthening our Systems & Methods team, and are looking for an experienced and proficient senior engineer!

Duties and responsibilities

The Systems & Methods department is responsible for driving continuous improvement and coordinating many of the company’s technical methodologies, systems, standards, procedures and processes. In this role, you will:

• Develop and maintain VARD’s standard library of piping components and valves in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
• Work closely with our Machinery and HVAC departments to establish best practices and guidelines for pipe routing.
• Ensure piping standards comply with relevant regulations, quality requirements, certifications and classification society rules.
• Define the applicability of piping standards for new projects based on vessel specifications, class requirements, type approvals and production capabilities.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain and Production teams to align standards, framework agreements and ways of working across the organization.
• Support our shipyards in developing and maintaining procedures related to pipe fabrication, testing, flushing and other production activities.
• Identify and coordinate improvement opportunities across engineering, production and warranty phases, and help drive quality assurance initiatives throughout VARD.
