Senior Data Engineer

We’re seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join Spenn Group’s Product & Tech team at our office in Oslo. In this role, you own the data foundation turning everyday activity into insight and product value. You will design and build the data platform that powers Spenn’s analytics, reporting, and customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Data platform: Design, build, and operate Spenn’s data platform on Snowflake, ensuring it is reliable, performant, and scalable.
• Data modeling & transformation: Develop and maintain robust data models and transformation pipelines using dbt.
• Data pipelines: Build and orchestrate ingestion pipelines that bring data from the app, platform, partners, and third-party sources into the warehouse.
• Data quality & governance: Ensure data quality, integrity, and lineage, and support compliance with data-privacy requirements such as GDPR.
• Enabling analytics & AI: Partner with analysts, data scientists, and product to deliver clean, well-structured datasets.
• Technical leadership: Set standards for data engineering, mentor others, and contribute to the architecture of our data platform.
• AI-Driven Efficiency: Utilize and advocate for AI tools to accelerate data development, documentation, and quality assurance.
