This is not just a graduate program; it's the start of your journey to build the critical data infrastructure for a leading energy company. As a Data Engineer/Digital in our 2027 Graduate Program, you will be at the forefront of Aker BP's ambition to become the world's first AI-native E&P company. Through a series of rotations, you will develop the skills to handle complex data challenges, architect robust data platforms, and contribute directly to our goal of a 3x productivity improvement through data-driven innovation.
- Build & Operate pipelines: Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines that move and model industrial data from diverse source systems into our central platform.
- Contextualize industrial data: Contribute to data products in Cognite Data Fusion (CDF), structuring and contextualizing complex industrial data for broad business use.
- Cloud-native development: Develop transformations and models in our cloud/lakehouse environment (Azure + Databricks/Spark), writing tested, production-grade code with Git and CI/CD.
- Ensure data quality: Support data quality, monitoring, and reliability by investigating broken pipelines, tracing data lineage, and enhancing observability.
- Collaborate & Innovate: Work closely with data consumers to translate business questions into impactful data solutions.

Krav
- Hold an M.Sc. degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering/Science, Software Engineering, Informatics, Applied Mathematics/Statistics, Cybernetics, or a closely related engineering field.
- Possess solid programming fundamentals, ideally in Python, with a working knowledge of SQL and relational data.
- Demonstrate the ability to write tested, production-grade code and understand software engineering practices like version control and testing.
- Be fluent in English, both written and spoken, for professional communication.
- Hold a valid EEA work permit and be able to work from our Norway office locations.
