Pool Leader

Enter Malangen Resort is looking for a passionate and outgoing Dogsledding Pool Leader to lead our dogyard and provide guests with an unforgettable self-drive dogsledding experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a pool of 30-40 dogs, monitoring their training, health, and behavior.
• Ensure welfare standards are followed and that dogs receive appropriate exercise and social interaction.
• Evaluate dogs' capacities and skills to adapt training according to their position (lead, swing, team, or wheel).
• Organize dogs for tours and training teams, ensuring rotations to avoid overworking animals.
• Oversee feeding, cleaning, and maintenance of the dog yard according to nutritional plans.
• Monitor animal stress levels during tourist interactions and ensure safe experiences for both guests and animals.
• Supervise handlers and mushers, assign daily tasks, and assist management with workload coordination.
• Oversee inventory and ensure guiding and sledding gear is properly maintained and stored.
• Ensure kennel standards and operating procedures are followed to maintain infrastructure and security.
