Founding Engineer

Landmarker is looking for a Founding Engineer to join our team in Oslo. This is an on-site role where you will own the platform architecture, codebase, and technical direction. You will build the platform, mostly by yourself, and eventually hire a team.

The Problem

Under every street in Europe there are pipes and cables nobody has a reliable map of. Contractors dig blind and hit things. Municipalities still process excavation permits by email. We are working to solve this by capturing and structuring data from paper drawings, CAD files, and survey logs into spatial data you can trust.

What you will own

• The platform: Architecture, codebase, and technical direction.
• International scalability: Designing the architecture to handle different regulatory regimes (e.g., Norway vs. Germany) without becoming a new product.
• The data: Converting analogue and semi-structured archives into positioned, versioned, queryable geometry.
• Integration: Making the integration with public registries and utility data routine.
• Technical leadership: Acting as the technical voice in the room with partners, customers, and public bodies.
