Embedded Software Engineer
Kongsberg Precision Cutting Systems (KPCS) is looking for talent within embedded software engineering to strengthen our R&D environment. You will be a key resource in developing new functionality for our high-precision cutting tables, working in close collaboration with hardware and electronic developers.
About the Position
You will develop, maintain, and improve embedded firmware and software across the full development lifecycle—from concept and design to testing and release. You will work mostly onsite in Kongsberg, with flexible home-office possibilities.

Krav
- Hold a Master or Bachelor’s degree in mechatronics, cybernetics, computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- Possess solid experience with bare-metal embedded development on microcontrollers.
- Demonstrate proficiency in C and/or C++ for resource-constrained embedded targets.
- Have a strong understanding of microcontroller architecture, peripherals, and hardware/software interaction.
- Possess knowledge of electronics and the ability to understand schematics and datasheets.
- Be proficient in English, both written and spoken.
