Commercial Manager LNG
BW LNG is a leading developer, owner and operator of floating gas infrastructure solutions. Our Shipping unit brings LNG to where it is needed, and our Gas Solutions unit develops, owns and operates floating gas infrastructure.
About the role
As Commercial Manager, you will participate in leading and further developing BW LNG’s commercial activities in LNG shipping. You will support existing and new business opportunities, focusing on customer requirements, performance follow-up, and commercial decision-making.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a key member of BW LNG shipping leadership team, contributing to the unit’s strategic direction.
- Play a key role in chartering and business development activities, leading and supporting transactions from origination through negotiation to execution.
- Head the Key Account Management function in LNG Shipping, including leadership and development of the team.
- Own and manage client contracts and relationships, ensuring optimal commercial outcomes.
- Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members, including analysts and trainees.
- Monitor and analyze LNG shipping market developments, identify commercial opportunities, and deliver data-driven insights.
- Drive client engagement and relationship management, actively leading customer dialogue.
- Lead LNG shipping tenders and project execution, ensuring effective coordination between commercial, technical, and operational functions.
- Oversee newbuilding contracts in close collaboration with BW LNG’s technical team.
Krav
- Master’s degree (MSc) in Economics, Finance, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 5-10 years of relevant experience within the marine and shipping industry, preferably with exposure to the LNG markets.
- Demonstrated expertise in customer relationship management and project execution.
- Strong commercial mindset with the ability to manage complex stakeholder environments.
- Excellent communication skills with full professional fluency in both Norwegian and English.
