Pool Leader

We're on the hunt for passionate and outgoing Dogsledding Pool Leader to lead our dogyard and give guests an unforgettable self drive dogsledding experience. If you love animals, meeting new people, and working outdoors, this is your chance to turn Arctic days into something truly spectacular.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee a pool of 30-40 dogs in the dog yard of Malangen Resort, including monitoring training, health, and behavior.
• Evaluate dogs' capacities and skills to adapt the train according to the position: lead, swing, team, or wheel.
• Organizing dogs for tours and training teams, ensuring dog rotations to avoid overworking animals.
• Overseeing feeding, cleaning, and maintenance of the dog yard according to nutritional plans.
• Monitoring animal stress levels during tourist interactions and ensuring safe interactions for both guests and animals.
• Supervising handlers and mushers, assigning daily tasks, and assisting management with workload coordination.
• Overseeing inventory and ensuring guiding and sledding gear is properly maintained and stored.
• Ensuring kennel standards and operating procedures are followed to secure safety and prevent incidents.
