Butcher needed for permanent work
Haugen Gardsmat Drift is a meat production company located along the fjord in Flåm, Norway. We are a small company, employing approximately 10 workers. This role would be in our production facility, mainly assisting the lead butcher in animal breakdown during our busy season from June to December.
Duties:
It is ESSENTIAL that the applicant have good knife skills and experience with large animal breakdown, including deboning. There will be a high volume of animals for the next few months, and the role requires someone who can come in, without training, and begin breakdown and be able to perform the heavy labor involved on a daily basis.

Krav
- Experience (3+ years) butchering/breakdown of large animals is required.
- Must be willing and able to work with various animal types, including pig, cow, goat, lamb, deer and reindeer.
- Must be legally authorized to work in Norway.
- Must speak and write in English.
- Able to meet the physical demands of manual and traditional meat production including lifting and carrying heavy loads.
