Job Description
Electrical CAD Designer
We are looking for an Electrical CAD Designer to our Project Department who will produce accurate, compliant, and high-quality technical drawings and documentation processes and represents the Zenitel Document Control Centre (DCC).
In general, you will:
- Ensure that all project deliveries are in accordance with customer specification and applicable rules, regulations and standards.
- Participation in project meetings.
- If necessary, conduct handover meetings with sales and relevant disciplines.
- Provide technical input and hours to sales when change request are needed (technical solution, BOM, hours, consequence to time schedule, impact on documentation etc.).
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments (e.g., project planners, purchasing, test, product, production centres).
Engineering tasks and responsibilities:
- Create, update, and maintain 2D (and when applicable 3D) drawings in AutoCAD for communication systems.
- Create, update and maintain project documentation in relevant formats (Word, Excel etc.).
- Perform Quality assurance of documentation made by colleagues (“checked by”).
- Inform dedicated project manager/project engineer if any changes during project execution.
- Produce detailed technical drawings based on engineering input, specifications, and sketches.
- Ensure all drawings comply with applicable standards, codes, and company guidelines.
- Manage drawing revisions and maintain proper version control.
- Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements.
- Prepare and structure drawing packages for internal use and customer delivery.
- Verify drawings for accuracy, completeness, and consistency before release.
- Responsible for establishing and maintain drawing registers (AutoCAD library) and structured technical documentation systems.
- Support project teams with technical documentation and as-built drawings.
Pre-Sales tasks:
- Support to Sales for design and verifications of solutions; make drawings and provide technical data.
- Review and approval of “one time project items” proposed by sales.

Requirements
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
- You must hold a degree in electrical engineering.
- You should have a base engineering education in electronic engineering.
- Experience from design and engineering of marine related systems is considered an advantage.
- Knowledge of marine regulations is preferred.
- Knowledge of telecom/communications systems is considered an advantage.
