Terms of Service

1. Introduction

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Autosøk platform ("the Service"), operated by Kowsari Consulting ("we", "us", or "our"). The Service is accessible at autosok.no. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

2. Description of Services

Autosøk is a job search and career platform that provides the following services:

  • Job search and discovery: Browse and search job listings aggregated from multiple sources .
  • Resume profiles: Create and manage multiple resume profiles with your professional information.
  • CV Builder: Build professional CVs using our integrated resume builder with multiple templates.
  • Job applications: Apply to job positions manually or through our platform.
  • Auto-Apply: An automated application service that submits job applications on your behalf based on your profile and preferences (paid feature).
  • Job recommendations: AI-powered job recommendations matched to your profile.
  • Notifications: Email and in-app alerts for application updates and matching jobs.

3. User Accounts

To access the Service, you must create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration.
  • Maintain the security and confidentiality of your login credentials.
  • Be at least 18 years of age.
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account.
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account.

You may register using your email address or via Google sign-in. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Pricing, Payments, and Billing

Autosøk operates on a credit-based system for certain paid features. All prices are in Norwegian kroner (NOK) and include applicable taxes.

  • Account balance: New users receive an initial balance. Additional funds can be added via the billing page.
  • Top-up options: You can add funds in preset amounts (50, 100, 200, or 500 NOK) or enter a custom amount (minimum 50 NOK).
  • Auto-Apply cost: Each automated job application deducts a fee from your balance. The current cost per application is displayed before you confirm.
  • Payment methods: Payments are processed through Vipps, a secure Norwegian payment service. By using Vipps to add funds, you also agree to Vipps' terms of use.
  • Transaction history: All transactions are recorded and available in your billing dashboard.

We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' notice. Price changes do not affect credits already purchased.

5. Right of Withdrawal

In accordance with the Norwegian Consumer Purchases Act (Angrerettloven), you have the right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of the transaction without giving any reason.

  • For balance top-ups where no credits have been used, you may request a full refund within 14 days.
  • If you have used part of your added credits (e.g., for Auto-Apply applications), the refund will be adjusted to reflect the value of services already consumed.
  • Once a job application has been submitted through the Auto-Apply feature, the corresponding credit charge is considered consumed and is not refundable, as the digital service has been fully delivered.
  • To exercise your right of withdrawal, contact us at support@autosok.no with your account details and the transaction you wish to reverse.
  • Refunds will be processed to the original payment method within 14 days of receiving the withdrawal request.

6. Auto-Apply Feature

By enabling the Auto-Apply feature, you expressly authorize Autosøk to:

  • Submit job applications on your behalf using your profile information and uploaded CV.
  • Deduct the applicable fee from your account balance for each application submitted.
  • Use AI-powered matching to identify suitable positions for your profile.
  • Create accounts on third-party employer portals on your behalf: When a job application requires registration or login on an employer's website or applicant tracking system before the application can be submitted, Autosøk may register an account on that platform on your behalf. This account will be created using your assigned @autosok.no email address provided by the Service, along with your name and relevant profile details as needed by the portal. This is a necessary step to complete the automated application process. You acknowledge that these third-party accounts are subject to the respective platform's own terms of service, and that Autosøk acts solely as your authorized agent when creating and using such accounts for the purpose of submitting your job applications.

You are responsible for keeping your profile information accurate and up to date. Autosøk does not guarantee that applications will result in interviews or employment. You can configure daily application limits and spending budgets, and you may disable Auto-Apply at any time through your settings.

7. Use of Personal Information for Applications

To provide the Service, Autosøk collects, processes, and uses personal information that you provide through the following sources:

  • Uploaded CV files: We extract personal details such as your name, contact information, work experience, education history, skills, certifications, and any other information contained in your uploaded CV documents.
  • Profile information: Data you enter directly into your Autosøk profile, including personal details, professional summary, work preferences, and job search criteria.
  • Application history: Records of your previous applications and interactions with the platform to improve matching accuracy.

This information is used specifically for the purpose of:

  • Completing job application forms on your behalf, including filling in required fields on employer portals and applicant tracking systems.
  • Generating tailored cover letters and application materials matched to specific job postings.
  • Matching your profile against available job listings to provide relevant recommendations.
  • Improving the accuracy and relevance of the Auto-Apply feature.

You retain full ownership of your personal data at all times. We do not sell, share, or disclose your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is shared with employers only as part of the job applications you authorize, either manually or through Auto-Apply. You may update, correct, or delete your personal information at any time through your account settings.

8. AI-Powered Features

Autosøk uses artificial intelligence for job matching, recommendations, and content analysis. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated results are provided on an "as-is" basis. We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or suitability of AI-generated content or recommendations. Users should review all information and applications before relying on them.

9. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information in your profile or applications.
  • Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
  • Scrape, harvest, or collect data from the Service without our written consent.
  • Use automated tools (bots, scripts) to interact with the Service beyond the features we provide.
  • Submit spam applications or misuse the Auto-Apply feature.

10. Intellectual Property

The Service, including its design, code, features, logos, and content, is the intellectual property of Autosøk and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. You retain ownership of the content you upload (CVs, profile data). By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to use your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Norwegian law:

  • Autosøk is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
  • We do not guarantee employment outcomes, job placements, or the success of any application.
  • We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use of the Service.
  • Our total liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
  • We are not responsible for the accuracy of job listings sourced from third parties.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may delete your account at any time through your account settings.

  • Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.
  • Any remaining account balance at the time of termination due to your breach of Terms is non-refundable.
  • If you voluntarily delete your account, unused credit balance will be refunded upon request, minus the value of services already consumed.
  • We will delete your personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy and applicable data protection laws.

13. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or through a notice on the Service at least 30 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Norway. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved by the Norwegian courts. For consumer disputes, you may also file a complaint with the Norwegian Consumer Council (Forbrukerrådet) or the Consumer Disputes Commission (Forbrukertilsynet).
