Project Engineering -- Secondary for Control & Protection
NES Fircroft is looking for a Project Engineer to lead, supervise, and coordinate all Secondary Engineer scope and sub-suppliers to secure the integrity, completeness, and correct function of the substation system.
Main tasks:
- Take responsibility for all substation Control and Protection design, calculation, and documentation (Base design, Detail Design, “As Built”, etc. up to project close out).
- Take responsibility for preparation of relevant procedures related to project-scope.
- Making technical recommendations in the Control and Protection design, engineering and execution phases of customer projects to ensure all actions are completed according to process requirements and standards.
- Assist in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects (protection and measuring equipment technical specifications, cabling estimates and validation of equipment etc.) for Sales support.
- Creating and delivering the Control and Protection scope-specific work planning, resource requirements, proposals, engineering estimates, and risk and opportunity analysis.
- Provide technical support for testing, installation and commissioning activities.
- Maintaining and enhancing customer satisfaction by providing continued dialogue and excellent service at all stages of the project.
- Collaborating and networking with engineering colleagues, sharing best practice across different projects and disciplines.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or similar field is required.
- You must have 5+ years of experience in an engineering department or site works.
- Broad knowledge in substation Control and Protection engineering and execution is essential.
- You must be fluent in English and Norwegian, both spoken and written.
- A strong commitment to safe work practices and dedication to following all relevant workplace safety guidelines is required.
