Nitrogen/Helium Test Lead
Techconsult is the link between jobs and professionals. For one of our customers we are now looking for a Nitrogen/Helium Test Lead.
Job responsibilities:
The N2He Test Lead is part of a team of several test leads who is responsible for the planning, preparation, and execution of Nitrogen/Helium (N2He) leak testing activities for designated piping systems, equipment, and packages related to the delivery and integration of the client's processing platform.
- Responsible for ensuring safe, efficient, and timely planning and execution of N2He leak testing for designated piping systems, equipment, and packages in accordance with Project Completion Strategy, NORSOK standards, and applicable commissioning procedures.
- Accountable for the quality and integrity of N2He test results, documentation, and handover of tested systems to the Commissioning System Responsible.
- Develop, review, and implement N2He test procedures and test packs for designated systems.
- Define test boundaries, including temporary blinds, spectacle blinds, and isolation requirements in coordination with the System Responsible.
- Ensure all test equipment (pressure gauges, He leak detectors, N2 supply) is calibrated, certified, and available prior to test execution.
- Coordinate and supervise N2He testing crews, including third-party test contractors and technicians.
- Conduct pre-test safety briefings (toolbox talks) and ensure JSA/SJA are completed prior to pressurized testing activities.
- Manage and document all test results, test records, and punch items in PIMS.
- Ensure safe depressurization, purging, and restoration of systems following completed tests.
Your experience and qualifications:
- BSc. or MSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education / experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience from NORSOK projects and familiarity with NORSOK Leak testing requirements.
- Documented hands-on experience with N2/He leak testing and pressure testing of process piping and equipment on the Norwegian Continental Shelf or Onshore.
- System-based commissioning knowledge and understanding.
- Good knowledge of the English and Norwegian languages (both written and verbal).
Requirements
- BSc. or MSc. in Engineering or a related field or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in N2/He leak testing and pressure testing.
- Documented experience with NORSOK standards and leak testing requirements.
- Strong leadership skills to manage and coordinate testing crews and third-party contractors.
- Proficiency in both English and Norwegian, both written and verbal.
- Familiarity with project completion systems such as PIMS.
