Quality Manager, R&D Drammen
For decades, our R&D environment in Drammen has been at the forefront of developing high-efficiency power conversion technology used by customers around the world. Our engineers develop advanced rectifiers, inverters and power systems where quality, reliability and continuous improvement are essential to success.
About the role
As our new Quality Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards throughout the entire product development lifecycle – from early design concepts to products in the hands of our key international customers.
This is a highly visible role where you will connect and collaborate closely with development engineers, manufacturing sites and customers, ensuring that quality is built into every stage of the development process.
Main responsibilities
- Continuously review R&D processes and ways of working, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and performance.
- Take an active role to align quality work processes with Bern, Taiwan and factories.
- Drive the implementation of improvements together with R&D management and team leaders.
- Contribute to development, implementation and maintenance of the Business Management System (BMS), ensuring process adherence across R&D sites.
- Lead technical problem-solving processes to ensure close follow-up and effective cross-functional collaboration.
- Provide quality reporting, monitoring and follow-up of product performance towards key OEM customers.
- Perform analysis of field performance and quality data, identifying trends and root causes.
- Own customer complaint handling, including coordination of failure analysis and 8D reports.
- Represent Quality in key R&D processes, including Projects, NPI, ECN and ACR.
- Own ISO certification activities for R&D Drammen, and coordinate audits.
Requirements
- You have 5+ years of experience from R&D product development or other technically advanced environments.
- You possess at least 3 years of hands-on experience with quality management and risk management.
- You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics or a similar field.
- You have strong knowledge of relevant standards such as ISO and structured quality methodologies.
- You are fluent in written and spoken English and able to communicate in Norwegian.
