Field Engineer

Welltec Oilfield Services Norway is actively recruiting Field Engineer in Norway. You will join our team in Bergen, Norway. We are a highly dedicated team and consider each other like family. We service the North Sea, Norwegian Continental Shelf.

As a Field Engineer, you’ll be involved in every part of our business. From helping acquire essential data to planning long-term well development, you’ll organize, run, and report operations in the field environment. Your training will be hands-on as you learn about the energy industry and become familiar with operating our specialized technology. You’ll be asked to learn a lot quickly, and you’ll be given responsibility and support to make your impact and start becoming a leader in our business.

The first 6 months will primarily be based at our workshop in Bergen to gain knowledge of our specialized equipment and technology with a view to assisting in offshore operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Performing offshore operations including equipment testing and preparation, execution of complex interventions operations, rig up/down on wellsite.
  • Follow detailed company processes and procedures to maintain an industry leading level of service quality.
  • Assisting our experienced team when performing large scale operations.
  • Undertaking technical, safety, and shop/office responsibilities as assigned by the Operations Manager.
  • Always Upholding our high level of customer service.
  • Maintaining equipment and facilities in an orderly and workable condition.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's degree within mechanical or electrical engineering, or possess equivalent experience in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • Possess a good understanding of electrical and mechanical engineering principles and the ability to grasp new technology quickly.
  • Be able to complete the standard requirements to travel offshore, including offshore medical and survival certifications.
  • Be a highly motivated individual who is willing to work under pressure and in varying conditions.
  • Be IT confident, proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel, and capable of learning bespoke software.
  • Have the legal right to work in Norway.
