Do you want to spend your winter in the Arctic, surrounded by reindeer, Northern Lights, and Sami culture?
Tromsø Lapland is looking for reliable, service-minded and hardworking Camp Hosts to join our team at Breivikeidet, approximately 45 minutes from Tromsø. This is a practical, physical and outdoor-based role where you will be an important part of the daily operation of our camp.
About the role
As a Camp Host, you will help ensure that the camp is clean, safe, welcoming and ready for guests every day. The work is varied and practical, and you will rotate between different tasks while learning the daily routines of camp operations.
Responsibilities
- Welcoming guests and assisting with outdoor activities
- Supporting guides and helping ensure smooth daily camp operations
- Preparing and serving simple food, as well as hot and cold drinks, to guests
- Assisting with reindeer feeding, welfare and daily routines
- Maintaining fires, wood stoves, campfires and firewood supplies
- Cleaning and maintaining camp areas, sanitary facilities, equipment and guest spaces
Requirements
- You must already have the necessary paperwork and legal right to work in Norway.
- You must be prepared to work outdoors in demanding Arctic weather conditions with temperatures dropping below -30°C.
- You must be able to communicate confidently in English.
- You must be physically fit and comfortable working around animals.
- You must be flexible, reliable, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
