We are challenged with an important job to safely find and deliver energy to the world.
Job Summary
The Production Engineer safely and continuously maximizes oil production and optimizes water injection. The role works closely with Well Intervention, Well Integrity, onshore and offshore Operations, and Reservoir Engineering to resolve technical issues, plan and execute intervention activities, and deliver production and injection targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and optimize well performance to maximize production and injection efficiency across the asset portfolio.
- Develop and implement production optimization strategies, including well surveillance, artificial lift performance, and production enhancement initiatives.
- Identify, plan and support well interventions and operational activities to restore, maintain, and improve well performance.
- Collaborate closely with Reservoir Engineering, Operations, Drilling, and Intervention teams to align production objectives with reservoir management strategies.
- Lead well testing, production performance analysis, and continuous improvement efforts to minimize production deferrals and unlock value opportunities.
- Provide technical guidance for well start-up, drawdown management, well integrity surveillance, and production system optimization.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships onshore and offshore, including periodic offshore visits to support operations and execution activities.
Requirements
- You must hold an MSc in Petroleum Engineering or an engineering degree in a related discipline.
- You must have 5+ years of relevant technical and industry experience.
- You should have specific production engineering experience in a gas-lifted, waterflooded field.
- You must possess knowledge of nodal analysis for production surveillance and optimization, gas lift design, and well performance analysis.
