Job Description

Marketing Manager

At XXL, commercial opportunities are everywhere - in product launches, strong buys, seasonal shifts, sports moments and brand collaborations. But these opportunities only create impact when they are turned into marketing that is both commercially relevant and engaging for our customers.

As Marketing Manager, you will play a key role in identifying the strongest story and developing the messaging and copy that make our commercial opportunities sharper, more relevant and more engaging. A key part of the role is to strengthen XXL’s sport credibility by connecting product launches, sports moments, brand collaborations and strong commercial periods to our seasonal themes and customer communication.

About the role

You will join our Nordic Marketing team as Marketing Manager, working hands-on with campaign ideas, activation angles, messaging and copy. Together with Marketing, Digital, Creative Production and Commercial, you will help turn input around products, brands, sports and seasonal moments into clear campaign angles and concrete ideas for how they can be activated across channels.

What you will do

  • Proactively identify and develop ideas for how to activate product launches, new brand launches, strong buys, seasonal shifts, global and local sports moments and brand collaborations.
  • Connect commercial priorities with relevant sports moments, seasonal themes and customer needs to create campaign angles that feel timely, credible and sales-driving.
  • Turn commercial input into concrete ideas for how we can show up across channels - from in-store and front page to newsletters, social, CRM and local market activations.
  • Write and develop headlines, campaign messaging, copy and tone of voice guidance for Nordic marketing activities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing, Digital, Creative Production, Commercial, Joint Marketing and brand partners to bring ideas to life in a practical and commercially effective way.

Requirements

  • You have proven experience in developing creative marketing campaigns, activations, or brand collaborations.
  • You possess strong skills in messaging, copywriting, and campaign development.
  • You have experience from sport marketing, retail, e-commerce, agency, or a similar commercially driven environment.
  • You have a good understanding of how marketing works across channels such as store, digital, social, and CRM.
  • You have a collaborative mindset and the confidence to challenge, inspire, and push ideas forward.
