As a Petroleum Engineer in our 2027 Graduate Program, you will be at the forefront of Aker BP's ambition to become the world's first AI-native E&P company. Through a series of rotations and a crucial offshore placement, you will develop the skills to handle complex technical problems and contribute to our goal of a 3x productivity improvement by optimizing our petroleum systems.
Key Focus Areas:
- Digital transformation: Digitalize and optimize our petroleum systems, connecting data and advanced analytics to real-world production challenges.
- Production surveillance: Plan and utilize our surveillance systems to optimize hydrocarbon production and injection strategies.
- Opportunity identification: Identify and evaluate new production opportunities to maximize value creation from our assets.
- Well completion design: Design and evaluate well completions for optimal production and injection performance.
- Technology implementation: Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies to enhance business efficiency and sustainability.
Your journey in Petroleum Engineering
You'll gain a holistic view by rotating through the core disciplines that drive our petroleum systems, from reservoir characterization to production optimization, including Reservoir engineering, Production optimization, Data science in petroleum, Field development, Enhanced Oil Recovery (EOR), and Integrated operations & AI.

Requirements
- You must be a final year student or recent graduate with an M.Sc. degree in Petroleum Engineering or related fields.
- You must have achieved a 'B' average or higher in your academic results.
- You must possess strong analytical skills with the ability to connect calculations and data to practical decisions.
- You must be fluent in English for professional communication and hold a valid EEA work permit.
- You must have an eagerness to spend significant time offshore, gaining hands-on experience.
