What you'll do

In this role, you’ll be part of a collaborative engineering environment where your work directly supports products already making an impact in healthcare training. You’ll contribute to:

  • Existing product platforms for patient simulators and training products
  • Mechanical systems and assemblies to improve durability, reliability, and serviceability
  • Plastics engineering for durable, lifelike components
  • Rapid prototyping to evaluate improvements, resolve issues, and support efficient product updates
  • Injection moulding, additive manufacturing and other plastics manufacturing technologies for scalable production
  • LEAN engineering principles to reduce waste and optimise efficiency
  • Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA) to streamline production
  • Lifecycle Analyses to enhance sustainability and reusability across product lines

This is a hands-on engineering role where collaboration, technical curiosity, and practical problem-solving are key.

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of maintaining and further developing existing product solutions in line with international safety and regulatory standards.
  • Conduct simulations and calculations to validate structural and fluid mechanics performance.
  • Prototype and test using advanced plastics technologies.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to improve existing products and resolve technical challenges.
  • Perform lifecycle analyses and contribute to sustainability goals.
  • Document solutions in PLM and PDM systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Bio-Mechanical Engineering.
  • 3+ years of experience in product design and development.
  • Experience with CAD, simulation tools, prototyping, and product improvement work.
  • Hands-on experience with plastics, injection moulding, rapid prototyping, and additive manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with LEAN engineering principles.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
