Project Engineer Mechanical

We are looking for a Project Engineer Mechanical to join our Power & Controls Engineering department in Tranby. In this role, you will contribute to mechanical engineering delivery within defense projects, working within a structured engineering framework and supporting robust, compliant design solutions throughout the project lifecycle.
What will you be doing?
- Perform and deliver mechanical engineering scope in accordance with Aker Solutions’ Engineering policies and design processes.
- Execute mechanical engineering activities in accordance with established design processes and project requirements.
- Develop mechanical designs, analyses, and technical documentation to support compliant and efficient project delivery.
- Coordinate with suppliers, procurement, and manufacturing to support efficient and feasible design solutions.
- Support design reviews, non‑conformance handling, and change management activities.
- Ensure design for manufacture, assembly, testing, and qualification within project requirements.
- Report progress, risks, and deviations to the Lead Engineer.
- Maintain models, drawings, and technical data in applicable systems and tools.

Requirements
- Higher education within engineering, science, or a related discipline.
- Experience from multidisciplinary projects or product development environments.
- Solid understanding of mechanical design, technical documentation, and verification activities.
- A structured and quality‑oriented working style with attention to detail and traceability.
- Good collaboration and communication skills with the ability to work effectively across interfaces.
- Fluency in both Norwegian and English, written and spoken.
