This isn't just a graduate program; it's the start of your journey to optimize critical offshore processes. As a Production Chemistry Engineer in our 2027 Graduate Program, you will be at the forefront of Aker BP's ambition to become the world's first AI-native E&P company. Through rotations and a crucial offshore placement, you will develop the skills to manage chemical treatments, ensure asset integrity, and contribute to our goal of a 3x productivity improvement.

  • Performance ownership: Own and optimize production chemistry performance for assets, setting treatment strategies and approving chemical selections.
  • Supplier governance: Govern the performance of external chemical suppliers, holding them accountable in meetings and through KPI reporting.
  • Efficiency & Cost optimization: Drive continuous optimization in treatment efficiency, chemical consumption, cost, and emissions.
  • Budget management: Manage chemical budgets for assigned systems, including purchase order approvals and cost control.
  • Trial & Qualification management: Define and approve field trials and chemical qualifications, evaluating lab tests and permit applications.
  • Compliance & HSE: Ensure regulatory and emissions compliance, handling reporting and participating in HSE meetings.
  • Project & Asset support: Support brownfield/greenfield projects and asset governance, providing critical production chemistry input.

Your journey in Production Chemistry

Requirements

  • M.Sc. degree in Chemistry, Chemical/Process Engineering, Materials, Petroleum Technology, or equivalent.
  • Solid academic record.
  • Genuine curiosity for real-world chemical and operational challenges.
  • Strong analytical skills to translate data and calculations into practical decisions.
  • Fluency in English (both written and spoken) and a valid EEA work permit.
