Ai Marine is a marine focused Managing General Agent (MGA) backed by 100% Lloyds Capacity. We are headquartered in London with additional offices in Bergen and Stockholm. Ai Marine was established in December 2023. Our geographical remit is global, subject to local regulations. We insure a wide range of vessels across blue, green and brown water sectors. On the claims side, our ambition is clear: to strengthen our lead portfolio and continue to build a scalable, high-quality marine insurance claims operation. To support this growth, we are seeking the right candidate to join our team as a Senior Claims Handler / Claims Handler.

The role

You will handle global market marine insurance claims, working closely with shipowners, operators, insurance carriers, lawyers, brokers, surveyors and internal and external stakeholders worldwide.

How you’ll make an impact

• Working closely with our Group Claims Director, who is also located in our Bergen office, you will take ownership of claims throughout their lifecycle, ensuring the timely, accurate and professional handling of claims in an international environment.
• Clear and timely communication is paramount; you will build and deepen strong internal and external working relationships across multiple markets and time zones.
• Documentation, reporting, and processes will be managed expertly to meet high standards of accuracy and regulatory expectations.
• You will reflect on what we are doing and how we are doing it to contribute to workflow improvements, the development of digital tools, and optimised claims processes as we continue to scale.
• Tailored to your experience, you will benefit from support, training and development to build out your skills and take increasing responsibility for more complex claims and strategic case management.
