About The Role
As a Datacentre Electrical Technician at Nscale, you will be a vital member of our infrastructure operations team, responsible for ensuring the maximum uptime, reliability, and efficiency of our heavy electrical systems. In this role, you will oversee the hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and scaling of low-to-high voltage power distribution systems that fuel our cutting-edge AI and high-performance computing (HPC) data centers.
What You'll Be Doing
- Operate and maintain HV/LV switchgear, transformers, UPS systems, generators, ATS/STS equipment, busway systems, PDUs, battery systems and associated monitoring equipment.
- Perform planned preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance.
- Respond to alarms using DCIM, EPMS and BMS systems.
- Execute approved SOPs, MOPs and EOPs.
- Support commissioning, energisation and Integrated Systems Testing.
- Perform inspections, thermal imaging and condition monitoring.
- Work under PTW, LOTO and RAMS procedures.
- Maintain maintenance records, switching logs and asset documentation.
- Supervise specialist contractors.
- Promote safety, reliability and continuous improvement.
Health, Safety and Compliance
- Ensure that all work and processes follow Local and Global Health and Safety performance criteria.
- Comply with NEK 400, FSE, DSB requirements and site Electrical Safety Rules.
- Follow PTW, LOTO and isolation procedures.
- Report hazards and incidents.
- Support ISO 27001 and ISO 45001 compliance.
Requirements
- You must hold a recognized electrical apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
- You should have proven experience working in industrial or critical electrical environments.
- You must possess strong electrical fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
- You must be able to interpret single line diagrams effectively.
- You must be fluent in English, with knowledge of a Scandinavian language considered an advantage.
- You must demonstrate a safety-first approach and be willing to follow strict LOTO and PTW procedures.
