About the position

We are looking to strengthen our R&D environment and are seeking a pragmatic, creative, and quality-oriented project engineer to contribute to further elevating our market leading digital cutting systems. You will join our electrical engineering team and be a key resource in developing systems and functionality for our high precision cutting tables. You will work on site, in close collaboration with mechanics, controls and software developers, to find the best and most reliable solutions.

  • Develop, maintain and optimize electronic components and subsystems
  • Prototype and validate new functionality
  • Participate in testing and quality validation of new and existing products
  • Support documentation and engineering change processes

Kongsberg will be your primary work location, with flexible home-office possibilities. Some travelling to the other KPCS sites, exhibitions, suppliers, and customers should be expected.

Requirements

  • Hold a Bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering or mechatronics engineering.
  • Possess experience with embedded electronics and mechatronics, and the design of such systems.
  • Demonstrate experience using CAD systems for electrical documentation.
  • Maintain proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks.
  • Thrive in a collaborative, non-hierarchical team environment.
