Camper & Car Mechanic
Arctic Campers AS is looking for a skilled mechanic to join our workshop team in Tromsø. We are looking for a hands-on, reliable, and positive team player who enjoys working on both vehicles and camper van systems.
The role includes servicing and repairing cars and camper vans, as well as maintaining and repairing camper conversions, including electrical systems, water systems, heating systems, furniture, and other camper equipment.
We are looking for a full-time employee with the possibility of long-term employment.
Main Responsibilities
- Service, maintenance, and repair of cars and camper vans
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting of mechanical and electrical faults
- Maintenance and repair of camper van conversion systems
- Installation and repair of camper equipment and accessories
- Tire changes, including mounting and balancing tires both on and off rims
- Preparing vehicles for rental
- Quality inspections before and after rentals
Working Hours
You will work 5 days per week, with 7.5 working hours per day and a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Requirements
- You must be a qualified car mechanic with vocational education or equivalent.
- You should have previous experience working as a car mechanic.
- You must possess a valid Category B driver's license.
- You need to have a good command of the English language.
- You must be able to work independently with a quality-focused approach.
- You should have a positive attitude and the ability to work well in a team.
