Technical Writer

Are you an experienced Technical Writer who combines linguistic precision with strong structure and project execution skills? We are looking for a consultant to take responsibility for product documentation and translation coordination for a Norwegian technology company with international operations.

About the assignment

The main priority is to ensure that the company’s product documentation remains accurate and up to date in line with product changes, launches and input from across the organisation. The documentation includes user and installation manuals, product sheets and other product-related materials.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and managing updates to product documentation
• Writing, editing and quality-assuring English source content
• Coordinating translations into multiple languages through an external translation agency
• Organising internal quality assurance of translations prior to publication
• Following up on changes, feedback, deadlines and approvals
• Ensuring clear structure, version control and an overview of documents and language versions
• Collaborating with Product Owners, Graphic Designers, Supply Chain and Communications

Over time, the assignment may also be expanded to include the localisation of global communications and marketing content.
