PhD Fellow in Pharmaceutics

A PhD position is available at the Department of Pharmacy (IFA), Faculty of Health Sciences with the Drug Transport and Delivery research group. The position is for a period of four years, where the fourth year is distributed as 25% each year and will consist of teaching and other duties.

The research group and project

The Drug Transport and Delivery Research Group focuses on pharmaceutical technology, specifically the optimization and characterization of drug formulations and nano-based delivery systems. In this project, we aim to prepare multifunctional wound dressings targeting improved healing of hard-to-heal and burn wounds using electrospun nanofiberous wound dressings from sustainable bioactive polymers.

Qualifications

• Hold a master’s degree or equivalent in Pharmacy or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
• Documented fluency in English and ability to work in an international environment.
• Documented experimental laboratory skills relevant for drug formulation and nanomedicine work.
• Good collaboration and communication skills.
• Must be qualified for admission to the PhD programme at the Faculty of Health Sciences.
