Role Overview
We are looking for a hands-on Plant HSE responsible to join our Nordic EPOD production facility in Norway, which is part of CTS group. This is a practical, floor-based role supporting safe production, modular assembly, workshop activities, logistics movements, and contractor or installation interfaces within a modern data centre manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the QHSE Manager, the role offers the opportunity to work closely with production, logistics, and supervision teams to support daily HSE delivery across the facility. This includes inspections, safe systems of work, Risk assessment, Inspections, SJA, incident management, lifting operations, contractor oversight, and workforce engagement to maintain high standards of safety, housekeeping, compliance, and operational discipline.
Plant HSE is responsible for:
- Supporting maintenance of NordicEPOD’s HSE management system at plant level in alignment with ISO 45001, ISO 14001, legal, Customer, CTS group level other relevant requirements.
- Maintain a visible presence in the workface, engaging with supervisors, operatives, and contractors to reinforce safe behaviours and practical risk controls.
- Carry out routine inspections, audits, safety observations, and workplace monitoring across production, assembly, storage, and material handling areas.
- Provide HSE support for modular assembly, lifting operations, hot work, electrical installation, work at height, forklift, gantry crane, equipment movements, loading or offloading, and pedestrian interfaces.
- Ensure reporting and investigation of occupational accidents, incidents and deviations in accordance with applicable legal obligations.
- Ensure that all employees receive mandatory Health and Safety training appropriate to their roles and specific risks.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-5 years' experience from a similar position.
- Relevant HSE qualification (NEBOSH, IOSH, Diploma or equivalent).
- Knowledge of applicable Norwegian Health, Safety and Environmental legislation is mandatory.
- Good oral and written communication skills in Norwegian and English.
- Experience in a manufacturing, production, industrial, engineering, or similar operational environment.
- Ability to work either on early morning shift or late evening shifts.
