Job Description
Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy
Statkraft is Europe’s largest renewable energy producer, and has been making clean energy possible for more than a century. With a clear commitment to a sustainable future, we need you to help shape Statkraft’s strategic agenda and deliver on its long-term ambitions.
Working in Corporate Strategy
The Corporate Strategy function supports the CEO and Corporate Management in setting and driving Statkraft’s strategic agenda. The Corporate Strategy team develops the Group’s corporate strategy, evaluates corporate portfolio perspectives, and advises on capital allocation, strategic priorities, and selected early-phase M&A opportunities. The team works closely with senior leadership and business areas to shape Statkraft’s future direction and translate strategic choices into action.
We are looking to strengthen the team with two new senior team members. While both positions will contribute across the full Corporate Strategy agenda, one role will have a particular focus on portfolio-related topics, while the other will be more focused on corporate strategy development and execution. Both positions report to the Vice President Corporate Strategy.
As a Senior Manager in Corporate Strategy, you will:
- Shape group-level strategy and portfolio direction by developing ambitions, priorities and strategic choices for Statkraft in close interaction with Corporate Management and business leaders.
- Lead complex strategic projects from problem framing and workstream design to senior-level recommendations, decision material and execution plans.
- Assess strategic opportunities and portfolio trade-offs, including business area priorities, capital allocation implications and selected early-phase M&A topics.
- Translate strategy into action by working with business areas and functions to define implementation priorities and ownership and by ensuring rigorous follow-up.
- Develop high-quality executive communication, including clear storylines, analytical materials and recommendations for senior decision forums.
We offer:
- A truly international environment and network of colleagues across markets and disciplines.
- Opportunities for continuous professional and personal development through training and hands-on experience.
- Flexible working arrangements that support work-life balance.
- Competitive terms, including strong pension and insurance schemes.
- Access to company sports clubs, cabins, and fitness facilities at Lilleaker, as well as practical benefits such as parking, EV charging, and bike facilities.
Requirements
- You have 5-10 years of relevant experience in corporate strategy, management consulting, business development, M&A, finance, or other strategic roles.
- You possess solid experience as a strategy project leader with a demonstrated ability to lead complex projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- You hold a Master’s degree in business, finance, economics, engineering, or a similar field.
- You are fluent in English, with proficiency in a Scandinavian language considered an advantage.
- You must be eligible for security clearance and authorization.
