Graduate 2027 - D&W Engineer

We are looking for graduates from the process discipline to join Vår Energi as a drilling & wells engineer. As part of our graduate programme, you will work on real business challenges from day one, while developing your technical and professional skills in a collaborative and supportive environment.

We are a leading independent Norwegian upstream oil and gas company, built on more than 50 years of experience on the Norwegian Continental Shelf (NCS). With equity stakes in around 50% of all producing assets on the NCS, we are the third largest oil and gas producer and one of the largest exporters of gas to Europe from Norway.

What you will be working with

As a graduate within drilling & wells, you will contribute to a variety of tasks and projects, such as:

  • Rotate through a series of operational and engineering roles, both on- and offshore, to gain a full understanding of well construction and well maintenance processes.
  • Contribute to teams engaged in technically challenging extraction of hydrocarbons from complex reservoirs.
  • Help progress exploration discoveries towards safe, cost-effective field developments.
  • Learn in a dynamic team atmosphere alongside colleagues from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
  • Investigate and apply latest technologies to maximize value from mature assets.
  • Cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • You are recently graduated or will graduate in 2027 with a Master's degree within relevant studies.
  • You have 0-2 years of relevant work experience.
  • You are fluent in English, both written and spoken.
  • You take initiative and show curiosity for learning.
  • You enjoy working collaboratively and across disciplines.
  • You approach challenges with a structured and problem-solving mindset.
