Job Description

As M&E Operations Manager, you will take ownership of the operational planning and delivery of our Meetings & Events business.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the day-to-day M&E operation and ensuring successful delivery of meetings, conferences, banquets and events.
  • Translating function sheets and client requirements into clear operational plans.
  • Leading, coaching and developing the M&E operational team.
  • Planning schedules, staffing and effective use of permanent and leased labour.
  • Acting as the main operational contact for event organisers while events are taking place.
  • Ensuring meeting rooms and event spaces are set, presented and maintained to a consistently high standard.
  • Leading operational briefings and ensuring teams are fully prepared before every event.
  • Managing guest and client feedback, complaints and service recovery.
  • Maintaining and continuously improving M&E SOPs and operational standards.
  • Managing labour productivity, agency costs, food & beverage costs, equipment rental and other operational expenses.
  • Ensuring equipment, storage areas and operational resources are effectively managed.
  • Working closely with M&E Sales, Kitchen, AV/Technical, Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, Security and the wider F&B Leadership Team.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, quality and the overall event experience.

Requirements

  • You have strong experience within conference & banqueting from a large hotel.
  • You are fluent in English, and a Nordic language is preferred.
  • You have previous leadership experience within a busy hospitality environment.
  • You are highly organised and comfortable managing several events and priorities simultaneously.
  • You have strong experience with staffing, scheduling, and operational cost control.
  • You are a visible, hands-on, and supportive leader who remains calm under pressure.
