Ready to kick-start your career in the maritime industry? Join VARD as a Summer Intern in 2027!

At VARD, we create innovative and sustainable solutions for the global maritime industry. Combining future-oriented engineering excellence, cutting-edge technology, and strong teamwork, we design and build some of the world’s most advanced vessels for a wide range of market segments, including offshore energy, naval, fisheries, icebreaking and research.

We are currently looking for Summer Interns to join our team. In this role, you will work closely with skilled colleagues, contribute to ongoing projects, and gain practical experience from one of the world's leading shipbuilding companies.

Our Summer Internship programme offers opportunities across several companies and disciplines within the VARD Group, including:

  • VARD Design & Engineering: Machinery, Structural, Electrical, Naval Architecture & Accommodation, and HVAC
  • VARD Design: Conceptual Design, Hydro & Stability, and Research & Innovation
  • VARD Electro: Software Development, Cyber Security, and the SeaQ portfolio
  • Seaonics: Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Procurement and Control Systems
  • VARD Interiors: Engineering, Procurement, and Project Management

We also welcome applications from students within Finance, Marketing, HR, IT, and Cyber Security.

Requirements

  • You must be a student currently pursuing a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field.
  • You must have a genuine interest in the maritime industry.
  • You must be proactive, structured, and eager to learn.
  • You must possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You must be proficient in English, both written and spoken.
