Are you an ambitious recent graduate, or someone with a few years’ workplace experience, looking for a challenging and rewarding career in an exciting global industry? We are strengthening our Underwriting team here at Norwegian Hull Club, and developing the talent of tomorrow is an important part of our business strategy.

Now, we're looking for ambitious, curious-minded people who have strong analytical skills and the ability to spot opportunities when they arise, as well as a real interest in the maritime world, to join us as Assistant Underwriters.

What you'll do

As an Assistant Underwriter, you will start by learning the ropes before gradually contributing to your team’s underwriting activities. You will be provided with all the training and knowledge needed to become a solid, competent underwriter. During this training period, you will learn how to perform such tasks as registering risks, handling documents, as well as updating policies when conditions have changed.

You will have plenty of contact with our network of brokers and clients, so you can look forward to building great business relationships right away. After a while, you will be armed with the know-how, skills and relationships needed to work independently with both existing and potential clients as part of our dynamic, international team.

Location

The location for these positions, either Bergen or Oslo, will be based on the circumstances of the successful applicants and the future development of the Underwriting team.

Requirements

  • You must hold a Bachelor's degree in a business-relevant subject.
  • You must be proficient in both English and Norwegian, both verbally and in writing.
  • You should possess strong analytical skills and an ability to understand facts and figures.
  • You must demonstrate a commercial mindset and a drive to build new professional relationships.
  • You should be a self-driven and motivated team player with a positive attitude.
