Attorney-at-Law / Lawyer – Nordic Contracts & Claims (Oslo)

Are you an insurance or commercial lawyer who wants to be closer to the business, the clients and the key decisions? We are looking for a committed, commercially minded attorney to join Aon’s Nordic Contracts & Claims team in Oslo.

In this role, you will use your legal expertise to influence major Nordic and international deals and claims, working in a specialized team at the intersection of law, risk and business.

What the day will look like

As a member of our Nordic Contracts & Claims team, you will:

  • Review and negotiate complex commercial contracts for Nordic clients, focusing on risk allocation, indemnity and insurance.
  • Advise on strategy and coverage in high‑value, complex claims across non‑marine insurance products.
  • Counsel clients and internal stakeholders on insurance law, market practice and liability topics.
  • Deliver external trainings and workshops, positioning Aon as a thought leader.
  • Contribute to internal know‑how and best practices across the Nordics.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Nordics and globally to solve complex problems.

Requirements

  • You hold a master’s degree in law.
  • You possess strong written and verbal communication skills in English and in either Norwegian, Swedish or Danish.
  • You have 5+ years of relevant experience in insurance law, business law, contract management, insurance broking, underwriting, or international claims.
  • You have the ability to balance legal precision with commercial and practical considerations.
  • You demonstrate a proactive, structured and collaborative working style.
