As the world's leading producer of aquafeed, we are committed to developing innovative and sustainable nutritional solutions that help feed a growing global population while protecting our planet's natural resources.

We are looking for a passionate and driven Researcher in Salmonid Nutrition to join our Salmonid Nutrition team in Stavanger on a temporary basis (2 years). In this role, you will contribute to the next generation of nutritional solutions for salmonids, helping to improve fish performance, health, welfare, and sustainability across the global aquaculture industry.

What you'll do

As a Researcher in Salmonid Nutrition, you will play a key role in delivering research that supports Skretting's innovation agenda. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Planning, coordination, execution and interpretation of research studies related to nutrition of the salmonid species.
  • Developing innovative nutritional solutions aimed at optimizing feed formulations, improving growth performance, and enhancing fish health and welfare.
  • Providing technical expertise and support to Skretting operating companies worldwide on fish nutrition and feed formulation topics.
  • Managing collaborative research projects with universities, research institutes, suppliers, and national and international funding organizations.
  • Communicating research findings and supporting the implementation of innovations across the business.
  • Contributing to the development of new ingredients, products, technologies, and concepts that drive sustainable aquaculture forward.

Requirements

  • PhD or equivalent in fish/animal nutrition, fish health biology, or veterinary science (or MSc with minimum 3 years relevant experience).
  • Strong competence in experimental design and statistical analysis of fish or animal trials.
  • Experience with laboratory work, diagnostics, and field sampling.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work independently and flexibly with strong interpersonal skills.
