AquaGen AS is a research-oriented breeding company that develops, produces and supplies genetic starting material and fertilized eggs to the global aquaculture industry. Our business is built on more than 50 years of targeted breeding work, research and development.

We are looking for an IT Cloud Platform Engineer. In this newly established role, you will develop and manage infrastructure and analytics solutions in AWS, Azure and our Fabric data platform. Acting as a technical link between internal expert teams and external technology partners, you will ensure that Aquagen’s platforms, dataflows and integrations support research, production, reporting and datasharing in a secure and efficient way.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and manage cloud, analytic and platform infrastructure across AWS, Azure and Microsoft Fabric.
• Develop and maintain integrations and technical interfaces between systems, data sources, cloud platforms and production-related solutions.
• Technical responsibility for our R&D department compute and analytics platform on AWS.
• Drive standardization, automation and continuous improvement through shell scripting (e.g., Bash) and Infrastructure as Code.
• Contribute to secure, stable and auditable operations through configuration management, technical documentation, change control and risk-mitigation measures.
