The Role
As Counter Staff, you will be the face of PIE VAT at Oslo Airport, assisting international travelers with VAT refund processing and ensuring a smooth, efficient, and friendly customer experience. You will work closely with the Counter Manager and team to support daily operations, handle customer interactions, and maintain high service and compliance standards in a fast-paced airport environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Customer Service & Counter Operations: Assist travelers with VAT refund processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Verify documentation and support basic inspection of goods when required. Deliver a professional, efficient, and friendly customer experience. Answer customer questions and guide them through the refund process. Handle basic inquiries via email or support tools when needed.
- Operational Support: Support daily counter operations to ensure smooth workflow and minimal wait times. Follow established procedures and service standards set by the Counter Manager. Help maintain a clean, organized, and fully operational counter environment. Assist during peak hours to manage high customer volumes effectively.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the Counter Manager and team to ensure consistent service delivery. Provide feedback on customer interactions and potential process improvements. Participate in training and onboarding programs.

Requirements
- You must have previous experience in a customer-facing role such as retail, hospitality, or travel.
- You must be fluent in both English and Norwegian, both written and spoken.
- You should be detail-oriented and capable of following established processes accurately.
- You must be comfortable using digital tools and systems in your daily work.
- You should be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-traffic airport environment.
